A family deeply concerned for the safety of their cherished canine is offering a substantial five-figure reward for her safe return following her sudden disappearance from their farm. A thorough search operation utilizing drones was initiated in Lancashire after 18-month-old Cocker Spaniel Mabel went missing from a farm in Inskip on April 10. The owners, Sarah and Paul Livesy, suspect that she might have been taken by a visitor to their farm shop for breeding purposes.
In their efforts to locate Mabel, which have been unsuccessful so far, the Livesy family has put up a generous £10,000 reward and has made a heartfelt public appeal to find their beloved pet, who they describe as the “heart of our family.”
Sarah, speaking to ITV News, expressed how much Mabel meant to them, highlighting her loving and loyal nature. Mabel, with her red fur, white chest, and wrinkled forehead, has been an integral part of their family since she was a puppy.
Despite several reported sightings of Mabel, none of them have led to her safe return. Sarah hopes that the substantial reward, raised with the help of their extended family, will incentivize someone to come forward and reunite them with Mabel.
Sarah has been overwhelmed with anxiety since Mabel’s disappearance, expressing how difficult it is to cope without her beloved pet. Dog thefts have been on the rise, with the North West being identified as a high-risk area. The introduction of the Pet Abduction Act in May 2024 has increased penalties for pet theft, aiming to combat this concerning trend.
