A £10,000 reward is now available for information leading to the apprehension of Ceyhan Dinler, 38, who is believed to have fled to Turkey after brutally killing Cumali Turhan in Chelmsford, Essex. Crimestoppers is offering the cash incentive to aid in capturing the suspect.
Cumali Turhan, aged 45, was fatally stabbed in the neck on November 19, 2024, following revelations of his secret relationship with Dinler’s girlfriend. The victim was tortured before his death, with parts of his body found mutilated and discarded in a bin. Police discovered evidence suggesting the brutal acts were carried out while Mr. Turhan was still alive.
Detective Chief Inspector Louise Metcalfe emphasized the importance of bringing justice to Cumali’s family and ensuring closure in the case. Another individual, Ciprian Ilie, was sentenced to seven years in prison for his involvement in disposing of Mr. Turhan’s body in a bin, which was later taken to a landfill site.
Efforts are ongoing to locate Ceyhan Dinler, with assurances of complete anonymity for anyone providing information to Crimestoppers. The investigation has been featured in a Channel 4 documentary, shedding light on the moments leading up to the suspected murder at a local pub in Chelmsford.
Authorities continue to urge the public to come forward with any relevant details, as the reward offer will expire on 6 April.
