Apple has introduced its latest lineup of iPhones, including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air, during its annual event at its California headquarters. Pre-orders for these models will commence on Friday, September 12, at 1 pm, with availability starting on September 19. Various retailers such as Sky Mobile, EE, Mobiles.co.uk, Vodafone, and Three have confirmed that they will carry the new devices, although prices are yet to be disclosed.
Customers will have the option to purchase the phones directly from Apple and Amazon starting on September 12. The iPhone Air stands out as the thinnest iPhone ever released, with a starting price of £999 or £41.62 per month. Retailers are expected to reveal their pricing soon, with some offering incentives for pre-orders.
Weighing 165g and measuring a mere 5.1mm in thickness, the iPhone Air is the first in Apple’s ‘Air’ range of devices, featuring a Grade 5 titanium frame constructed with 80% recycled titanium. The device boasts a 6.5″ Super Retina XDR display with a durable Ceramic Shield for enhanced resilience. It is powered by the latest A19 Pro chip, claimed to be the fastest processor in any smartphone.
The iPhone Air offers improved battery life, capable of up to 27 hours of video playback on a single charge and quick charging to 50% in just 30 minutes. Equipped with a 48MP Fusion camera system and an 8MP Centre Stage front camera, the phone is designed for photography enthusiasts. It comes with iOS 26 out of the box, featuring liquid glass and new AI features for enhanced user experience.
The iPhone Air is available in storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, with color choices including Sky Blue, Cloud White, Light Gold, and Space Black. Additionally, customers can enjoy a free seven-day trial of Apple TV+ for streaming popular shows like Severance, Ted Lasso, and Slow Horses, with an option to cancel before the trial ends.
