Emergency responders, including park staff, search-and-rescue teams, fire crews, and Survival Flight, quickly mobilized to the scene. Fire department members rappelled down the 260-foot bluff as park rangers approached from below along the river.
The boy, identified as Kayleb Lynn Eddings, was found unresponsive by his father, Toby Eddings, who was one of the first to reach him. Sadly, Kayleb succumbed to the fall, as confirmed by officials.
