An altercation between a mother and her son took a tragic turn when the young boy fatally stabbed his parent. The incident occurred following an argument about the child’s behavior, as reported by authorities.
Eyewitnesses recount that Caline Arruda dos Santos, a shopkeeper, requested a final hug from her son moments before he lethally stabbed her in the abdomen. Prior to the dreadful event, Caline had urged her son to stop playing in the street.
The situation escalated when, at the family’s home, the boy retrieved a knife from the kitchen, concealed it in his clothing, and then approached his mother and older brother at the entrance to the street, where he allegedly stabbed Caline.
In a heartbreaking moment, witnesses heard Caline’s plea for a final hug, knowing she might not survive. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she tragically succumbed to her injuries upon arrival.
Due to the boy’s age, under 12, he was not detained by the police as he cannot be prosecuted by the Children’s Court. Currently, he is under the care of a relative of the victim.
An interview with the relative revealed that the boy seems to be unaware of the gravity of his actions, only learning about his mother’s death from another individual. The incident took place on Rua Gaspar Leme in Parelheiros, south of Sao Paolo, and is currently under investigation by the Civil Police.
