“Heroic Dog Walker Killed in Uxbridge Stabbing”

A dog walker hailed as a hero was tragically killed in Uxbridge, with his employer describing him as a valued and committed employee. Wayne Broadhurst, a 49-year-old council worker, lost his life in the incident on Monday evening, while a 14-year-old boy and another individual sustained injuries.

The managing director of Greener Ealing Ltd, a company offering environmental services to Ealing Council, paid tribute to Mr. Broadhurst, emphasizing his dedication to the team. Katarina Pohancenikova conveyed sympathies to Wayne’s family, friends, and colleagues during this challenging period, acknowledging his significant contributions to their work and the community they serve.

The company shared a photo of Wayne wearing a Liverpool football club hat and the firm’s high-visibility clothing. Safi Dawood, 22, has been charged with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with the triple stabbing incident. Dawood, originally from Afghanistan and arriving in the UK via a lorry in 2020, is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court soon.

Jaswant Narwal, Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS London North, confirmed the charges against Dawood, stating that the prosecution team has diligently reviewed the evidence in collaboration with the Metropolitan Police Service to ensure justice for the victims.
