Kat Newquist, who has amassed a following of over two million on TikTok, regularly shares moments of life with her three indoor feline companions – Dave, Gandalf, and Natilla. While cat owners are familiar with the quirky behaviors of their pets, the sight of one of Kat’s cats forming a strong attachment to a pumpkin left many perplexed.
During Dave’s inaugural autumn in Kat’s household, he noticed her penchant for adorning the home with pumpkins during the fall season. Dave appeared particularly enamored with a specific pumpkin, showing more affection towards it than even Kat did. Kat revealed that each autumn, she procures numerous pumpkins for decorating purposes. However, in 2021, Dave fixated on a distinct green and yellow striped pumpkin, making it his newfound fascination. Dave spent a significant amount of time in the pumpkin’s vicinity, often maintaining physical contact with it.
Dave’s bond with the pumpkin was so strong that he would defend it against his mother and sister if they approached too closely.
