A 15-year-old boy tragically lost his life in a stabbing incident in Manchester, identified as Mohanad Abdullaahi Goobe. The incident took place in the Moss Side area on Moss Lane East and Monton Street on Monday around 4:30pm, prompting an investigation by Greater Manchester Police.
Described as the youngest in his family, Mohanad was known for his infectious laughter and warm personality. His family fondly remembers him as a joyous individual who could always bring a smile to people’s faces. They expressed deep sorrow over the sudden loss of their beloved son, emphasizing the need to remember him with love and kindness, rather than just another victim of senseless violence.
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the case and is currently held in custody for further questioning. The Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team is urging anyone with relevant information, including witnesses or individuals possessing footage of the incident, to come forward and assist in the investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Davis from GMP’s Major Incident Team acknowledged the community’s shock and vowed to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
