Google has decided to reveal its new Pixel smartphones earlier than usual, breaking away from its traditional autumn launch schedule. The tech giant is pushing ahead of Apple by introducing a range of upgraded devices set to hit the market before the anticipated iPhone 17 release next month, offering consumers a variety of options and innovative features.
The lineup includes the new Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and the larger Pixel 10 Pro XL, featuring a massive 6.8-inch screen. These models are equipped with the faster and more intelligent Tensor G5 processor, improved battery life, durable design with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and rapid charging capabilities.
For those opting for the premium Pro models, they will enjoy an impressive rear camera system with an astounding 100x zoom, capturing high-quality close-up shots and vibrant images even in low-light conditions. Google’s signature AI technology is integrated into these smartphones, offering features like Google Gemini for interactive voice commands.
A notable addition is the Magic Cue feature in Google apps, providing proactive contextual suggestions to enhance user experience. This feature offers on-screen prompts for possible actions based on user activities, such as displaying flight information during a call with the airline or suggesting forwarding details via text in Google Messages.
Moreover, the devices come with a Camera Coach function to assist users in capturing better photos instantly. Additional smart features like Best Take and Add Me enhance photography by refining images and including the photographer in group shots.
The new Pixelsnap technology, akin to Apple’s MagSafe, allows seamless attachment of wireless chargers, stands, grips, and various accessories to all Pixel 10 devices via built-in magnets. The Pixel 10 series will be available in vibrant new colors, starting at £799.
In addition to the standard models, Google is set to launch a foldable device, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, featuring an expansive 8-inch Super Actua Flex display. This foldable phone boasts the powerful Tensor processor, extended battery life, fast charging, and a triple-lens camera system. Notably, it is the first IP68 dust and water-resistant foldable phone from Google, ensuring durability. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be offered in a striking Jade color at a higher price point of £1,749.
For Apple enthusiasts, Mirror Online speculates that the next iPhone launch event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 9th. Stay tuned for updates on the latest developments in the tech industry.
