A woman, Alexis Von Yates, 34, was sentenced to two years in jail after she was found guilty of engaging in sexual activity with her 15-year-old stepson. Her husband discovered her with the teenager on their living room couch, as per court records. The boy’s mother expressed her disgust at Von Yates’ behavior during the sentencing, stating that her son is now receiving therapy and has been neglected by his father.
The mother emphasized her commitment to supporting her son, despite feeling anger and hurt towards Von Yates. She mentioned that despite the trauma, her son has a bright future ahead. She criticized Von Yates for her lack of remorse and accountability, labeling her as a coward and an incestuous pedophile.
Von Yates remained silent in court and received a two-year prison sentence, followed by community control and sex offender probation. She was also ordered to perform community service, cover court costs, and pay fines. Previous court documents revealed that Von Yates spent time with her stepson on the couch, where they smoked a THC vape, played video games, and watched movies. The boy reported that Von Yates initiated sexual contact and made inappropriate remarks before the father caught them naked.
Following her arrest in November, Von Yates had her nursing license revoked due to her actions being deemed morally questionable. The Florida Department of Health suspended her license, citing a lack of good judgment and moral character required for nursing.
