A manhunt is underway following an incident where a car rammed an FBI gate, deemed an act of terrorism. Donald Henson from Penn Hills is being sought by authorities for crashing his car into the Pittsburgh Field building in Pennsylvania at approximately 2:40 am on Wednesday. Allegedly, Henson then took an American flag from his vehicle and displayed it on the gate.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported during the event. Assistant Special Agent In Charge Christopher Giordano stated that the individual fled the scene, prompting a public alert. Henson is suspected to have a background of mental health issues.
Describing the incident as a deliberate attack on the FBI, Giordano emphasized the severity of the situation. Images released by CBS depicted a white sedan forcefully hitting the gate. Law enforcement officers are present at the site as investigations proceed.
Giordano emphasized that Henson is being pursued for his actions against the FBI and clarified that there is no evidence suggesting he is armed. Authorities revealed that Henson had visited the office weeks earlier to report a matter unrelated to federal jurisdiction.
Reportedly, there was a message inscribed on one of the car windows, raising suspicions. The FBI identified the suspect as a former military member who had recently visited the Pittsburgh office. A bomb squad was called in to inspect the vehicle.
Witness Nakeisha Brown recounted hearing tires screeching before the collision. Brown observed Henson placing a flag on the fence and uttering words before departing the scene swiftly.
