The Mirror recently disclosed that 451 postcode areas have qualified for Cold Weather Payments this year. To be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment, individuals must claim specific benefits or mortgage support.

However, an application is required for those with a baby or if a child under five moves in with you. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) administers Cold Weather Payments, with the scheme scheduled to continue until March 31, 2026.

Notably, Cold Weather Payments are not available in Scotland, where they have been replaced by the Winter Heating Payment valued at £59.75.
