Wizz Air Introduces Budget-Friendly Business-Class Experience on Select European Routes

Wizz Air has rolled out a new offering, WIZZ Class, aiming to provide passengers with a business-class experience at an affordable price. The upgraded service allows travelers on specific European routes to enjoy an exclusive benefit – an empty middle seat beside them during the flight.

Passengers seated in the front row can opt for WIZZ Class when booking online. By selecting this option, either of the middle seats, 1B or 1E, will remain vacant. This feature enables passengers to have extra space and avoid sitting next to a stranger.

WIZZ Class can be included in Smart and Plus bundles during the booking process. Along with the package benefits, passengers will receive a 10kg carry-on bag, priority boarding, a non-alcoholic beverage, and a snack.

The enhanced service is currently bookable on flights to and from Budapest, Bucharest Otopeni, Warsaw, London Luton, London Gatwick, and Rome Fiumicino operated by the Hungarian airline. However, the pricing details for WIZZ Class have not been disclosed yet.

According to Silvia Mosquera, Wizz Air’s commercial officer, the introduction of WIZZ Class addresses the increasing demand for more space and efficiency in business travel without the high costs associated with traditional airlines. This offering aims to provide passengers with the comfort and service they desire while maintaining the airline’s straightforward and convenient model.

In addition to the WIZZ Class launch, Wizz Air has reintroduced its All You Can Fly program, allowing frequent flyers to travel across its network for a yearly fee plus a small booking fee per flight. The program costs €499.99 per year, with a booking fee of €9.99 per flight segment. Passengers can view available flights three days in advance, catering to spontaneous travelers with flexible schedules.

Moreover, the airline offers the Wizz Multipass subscription starting at £59.99 per month, which includes one monthly flight on selected routes. Unlike the All You Can Fly option, passengers can opt to include luggage in their plan.

Wizz Air has also expanded its route network from London Luton Airport by introducing six new direct flights to destinations such as Yerevan, Alicante, Lyon, Corfu, Faro, and Turin. This move increases the total number of routes from Luton to 39, providing travelers with more options across Europe, including direct and connecting flights to the Middle East.

Of note is the new direct route to Yerevan, marking the UK’s first nonstop connection to Armenia. This development opens up opportunities for British tourists to explore the country without the need for connecting flights.
