“Trump Proposes $1 Million to Each Greenland Resident”

Date:

Donald Trump has proposed an extraordinary plan to offer $1 million to each resident of Greenland in a bold move to gain favor and control over the island. The Daily Mail reports that this offer could result in a staggering £42.5 billion cost for the United States, considering Greenland’s population of approximately 57,000 people. If the residents choose to join the U.S., $1 million would equate to about £750,000 or €850,000.

Despite the significant sum involved, Trump, who oversees a defense budget of £595 billion, might view this as a reasonable expense. The President recently announced the abandonment of tariffs he had threatened to impose on eight European countries in his pursuit of U.S. dominance over Greenland. This decision followed a swift change of heart after his earlier assertion of wanting complete control over the island.

In a statement on his social media platform, Trump disclosed that he had reached an agreement with the NATO chief on a potential future deal regarding Arctic security, aiming to ease geopolitical tensions. Discussions are also underway concerning the Golden Dome missile defense program, a sophisticated system valued at $175 billion that will introduce American weaponry into space for the first time.

During his address, Trump described Greenland as a “cold and inconvenient” territory, emphasizing the substantial support provided by the U.S. to Europe during World War II. He highlighted the minimal request made to NATO in exchange for decades of assistance, hinting at the possibility of using force if necessary, though he expressed a preference for diplomatic solutions.
