The upcoming Masters Champions Dinner, an exclusive event in the world of golf, is just around the corner with Rory McIlroy revealing his menu for the prestigious gathering. Among the appetizers on the menu are Rosie’s dates stuffed with goat’s cheese, a dish featuring his mother’s specialties.
Having clinched the Green Jacket almost a year ago by triumphing over Justin Rose in a playoff, McIlroy will have the honor of hosting the iconic champions dinner at Augusta National next month. The event, known as the Masters Club Dinner, is a highly exclusive affair restricted to past Green Jacket winners only.
At the dinner, guests will have a choice between Wagyu Filet Mignon and seared salmon for the main course. The dinner, scheduled for the Tuesday of tournament week, is considered one of the most prestigious events in the realm of sports.
Each year, the defending champion selects the menu for the dinner. In 2025, Scottie Scheffler curated a menu that included cheeseburger sliders, firecracker shrimp, and “Papa Scheff’s meatball and ravioli bites,” with a playful nod to a Christmas Day incident in 2024 where he injured his hand. The dessert featured warm chocolate chip skillet cookies with vanilla bean ice cream.
Previous events have seen a variety of menus, including Hideki Matsuyama’s Japanese feast in 2022 with sushi, sashimi, and Miyazaki wagyu beef ribeye. Sir Nick Faldo, a three-time Green Jacket winner, once served a simple fish and chips meal after his 1996 triumph.
Despite some unconventional menu choices over the years, the Masters Champions Dinner remains a cherished and emotional evening for attendees. Sharing stories and reminiscing about the past, the event is a blend of laughter and nostalgia, making it a truly special occasion for all involved.
