“Surgeon Allegedly Kills Ex-Wife and Husband in Ohio Tragedy”

Date:

A surgeon allegedly shot and killed his ex-wife and her new husband after threatening her life. The tragic incident occurred in Columbus, Ohio, where 37-year-old Spencer Tepe was found dead at home on December 30, while his wife, Monique, 39, was discovered shortly after by the police. The suspect, Michael McKee, an Illinois-based surgeon and Monique’s ex-husband, was arrested on January 10 and charged with aggravated murder and burglary.

If convicted, McKee could face life imprisonment. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Witnesses reported that McKee had threatened Monique, indicating he could harm her at any time and expressed possessiveness by stating she would always be his wife. Another witness claimed Monique had disclosed instances of physical abuse and unwanted sexual encounters by her ex-husband.

Surveillance footage showed McKee breaking into the couple’s residence on a prior occasion while they were away. Monique had left an event early due to distress caused by her ex-husband. The couple, who had been married for two years, were described as having a strong and happy relationship. They had two children together.

Emergency services found the couple alive at home, but they succumbed to their injuries. The murder weapon was reportedly fitted with a silencer. Family and friends mourned the loss of the couple, emphasizing the need for justice and safeguarding the well-being of their children.

A close friend of the victims recalled them as a friendly and welcoming couple, expressing disbelief at the tragic turn of events. The community was shocked by the untimely deaths of Spencer and Monique Tepe.
