“Iran’s Supreme Leader Slams Trump Over Anti-Government Protests”

Date:

Iran’s supreme leader criticized Donald Trump for the harm and defamation he allegedly caused to the Iranian people during recent anti-government demonstrations. The US president had previously threatened Iran over potential actions against protesters but has shifted to a more conciliatory stance after claiming no executions have occurred.

In a social media post, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei accused the protests of being incited by American influences, aiming to destabilize Iran. He vowed to confront both domestic and international elements involved in the unrest, attributing significant damages and casualties to actors associated with Israel and the US.

Despite initial warnings of being “locked and loaded,” Trump refrained from military action against Iran, following advice from advisors who expressed doubts about the effectiveness and consequences of such a strike. The president commended Iran for not carrying out executions that he claimed targeted political prisoners.

Tehran has reportedly returned to normalcy with no recent signs of protests, although an internet blackout persists. Human Rights Activists News Agency in the US has reported a death toll of over 3,000 amid the unrest, marking one of the deadliest periods of demonstrations in Iran in recent history.
