“Center Parcs Longford Forest Set for €100M Expansion”

Date:

A section of Center Parcs is poised for expansion with the introduction of new treehouse accommodations and fresh attractions. Center Parcs Longford Forest in Ireland is undergoing a €100 million redevelopment, incorporating additional lodges, an exciting aerial ride, and a lakeside restaurant.

The park intends to introduce 83 new lodges, including the addition of treehouses, a feature already available at other Center Parcs locations. These treehouses, spanning two levels, are accessed through treetop walkways and often include amenities like hot tubs, saunas, and gaming spaces for children.

Recently, the park unveiled 80 new lodges open for booking between December 2026 and April 2027. These lodges cater to various groups, including six-bedroom woodland lodges, adapted accommodations, and dog-friendly options. Moreover, accommodation names have been updated, with the Executive Lodge now known as a Forest Lodge and the Executive Plus Lodge rebranded as a Grand Forest Lodge.

In addition to the existing facilities like adventure golf and the Aquaparc, a new aerial zipline called Forest Glider is slated to launch in the fall. The zipline is described as a continuous-loop, gravity-fed ride and is set to enhance the 400-acre site’s offerings.

Longford Forest recently introduced two escape rooms, The Plant Room, and Forest Laboratory, both filled with interactive experiences for families. Furthermore, plans are in place to introduce a lakeside restaurant to the site, enhancing the dining options for guests.

Since its inception in 2019, Longford Forest has welcomed over a million guests. Situated around a large man-made lake, the site offers water activities such as canoeing and kayaking. Notably, the Subtropical Swimming Paradise on-site boasts the title of the largest waterpark in Ireland, maintained at a comfortable 29.5°C year-round, with free and unlimited access for guests.

Attractions at the park include the Wild Water Rapids, a meandering lazy river, and the exhilarating 100-meter-long Tropical Cyclone ride for a thrilling experience on a four-person raft. Children can enjoy flumes and a whirlpool for relaxation. Center Parcs has also announced plans for a new site near Hawick, Scotland, with an estimated opening by the end of 2029, pending approvals.
