Newly released documents from the Epstein Files have unveiled a conversation where Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell claimed to have gone “dinosaur bone hunting” with US health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The exchange dated back to August 5, 2012, where Epstein mentioned their fossil hunting expedition with Jack Homer on a ranch, discovering ancient clams and fossils, which he believed to align with Kennedy’s interests.
Maxwell corroborated Epstein’s statement by recalling a fossil hunting trip with Kennedy in North Dakota and affirmed it during an interview with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. Although she couldn’t recall flying with Kennedy, she acknowledged being acquainted with him through their shared experience of dinosaur bone hunting in the Dakotas. Notably, there are no flight records indicating Kennedy flew with Epstein to either Dakota.
The exact timing of the dinosaur hunting trip remains uncertain. Kennedy confirmed having flown on Epstein’s jet twice, once in 1994 to Florida with his family and later to Rapid City, South Dakota, for a fossil hunting weekend. He emphasized that these flights occurred before Epstein’s notorious criminal activities became public knowledge.
The recent disclosures from the Epstein Files have generated discomfort for individuals associated with Donald Trump or his administration. Elon Musk was found inquiring about parties on Epstein’s island years after Epstein’s conviction for child sex offenses. Similarly, US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, despite denouncing any future interactions with Epstein, was exposed for maintaining contact with Epstein post-conviction, arranging meetings and exchanging emails in 2011.
