Security personnel noticed the woman’s unresponsive state and unusually low body temperature, triggering immediate emergency response measures.
According to reports from Spanish newspaper Diario de Avisos, details such as the exact date of the incident, the couple’s nationalities, and the airline involved have not been disclosed. Witnesses observed the man pushing his wife in the wheelchair, appearing like a typical elderly couple until suspicions arose upon closer inspection.
Upon closer examination, it was discovered that the woman was not breathing and had a significantly low body temperature. Airport staff promptly alerted authorities, leading to the activation of emergency protocols with the arrival of security personnel, Civil Guard members, and forensic experts at the scene.
Initially, the husband claimed his wife had passed away inside the airport a few hours earlier.
