Disgraced individual Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor reportedly attempted to facilitate a meeting between notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and former Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi, as revealed in newly uncovered emails.
The ex-Duke of York, embarrassed in the latest release of Epstein-related documents by the US Department of Justice, is said to have used his role as a UK trade envoy in 2010 to arrange the meeting after Epstein expressed interest in meeting Gaddafi. The correspondence indicates that Epstein sought to travel to Tripoli, just prior to Gaddafi’s demise during the Arab Spring.
Emails brought to light by Channel 4 News depict Epstein mentioning individuals who had inquired about meeting Gaddafi due to his financial ambiguity, leading to efforts to set up the meeting through Mountbatten-Windsor. Correspondence from October 7, 2010, shows Epstein initiating contact with Mountbatten-Windsor’s associate, David Stern, to discuss a potential trip to Tripoli.
Stern, referring to Andrew as “PA” in the emails, confirmed that a trip to Tripoli could be arranged as per PA’s interest in the visit. Mountbatten-Windsor had previously met Gaddafi and his son in Libya during his time as a UK trade envoy.
Subsequent emails suggest that the then-Prince claimed to have a contact close to Gaddafi, with Epstein expressing eagerness for the meeting to proceed, citing reasons related to financial matters and seeking Andrew’s involvement in the introduction. Eventually, Andrew himself contacted Epstein, indicating that the Libya plans were in progress.
Despite Epstein’s willingness to travel to Tripoli in response to Mountbatten-Windsor’s suggestion, later emails within the DOJ documents imply that the meeting between Epstein and Gaddafi did not materialize.
