Fears of a potential World War 3 have escalated as one European nation has begun distributing survival guides to millions of households. This development coincides with warnings from Russian officials about the dire consequences Europe could face if Russia experiences a defeat in Ukraine.
The Polish government, concerned about the possibility of a global conflict, has issued a 48-page booklet providing guidance to civilians on how to respond to various crisis scenarios. Given Poland’s border proximity to Russia, the country is taking precautionary measures in case the situation escalates further.
Sergey Karaganov, the head of Russia’s Council for Foreign and Defense Policy, recently cautioned that a Russian defeat could lead to the deployment of nuclear weapons, emphasizing that Europe would face severe consequences. Prime Minister Donald Tusk reported incidents of Russian drones breaching Polish airspace, prompting interceptions by Polish and NATO aircraft.
Poland has recorded multiple drone intrusions, resulting in the temporary closure of several airports, including Warsaw Chopin Airport. In response to these security concerns, the government has distributed these informative booklets to all 17 million households nationwide, outlining instructions on handling emergencies ranging from fires and floods to terrorist incidents and potential use of weapons of mass destruction.
Notably, the guide emphasizes the importance of individual preparedness, urging families to have essential supplies for at least three days, maintain emergency kits, secure vital documents, and create evacuation plans.
