Nigel Farage has announced that Jeremy Kyle, a controversial TV personality, is providing media training to candidates of Reform UK. Farage revealed that aspiring candidates underwent questioning by Kyle during a recent training session in Newport.
Kyle gained fame through his own show, which was taken off the air in 2019 following a tragic incident where a guest passed away after appearing on the program. Despite a coroner ruling out a direct link between the guest’s suicide and Kyle’s treatment, the show faced scrutiny.
Speaking at an event, Farage explained that he brought in Kyle after previous election experiences with UKIP highlighted the importance of thoroughly vetting candidates. Emphasizing the significance of candidate selection and vetting, Farage mentioned that all Reform UK candidates had undergone media training with Kyle and Colin Brazier to ensure their suitability for public office.
