“Controversial Trump Statements on Ivanka Resurface”

Date:

In the course of his political journey, Donald Trump has faced backlash for various statements he has made about women and girls, including remarks involving his daughter Ivanka Trump. These comments have resurfaced recently in light of the Epstein Files release, despite findings by The Justice Department that dismissed sexual misconduct allegations against President Trump linked to Jeffrey Epstein due to insufficient credible evidence.

Let’s take a chronological look back at some of the most controversial statements made by Trump about Ivanka. At the 1997 Miss Teen USA pageant in Texas, where Ivanka, then 16, co-hosted an event owned by her father, Trump reportedly asked Miss Universe Brook Antoinette Mahealani Lee if she thought Ivanka was attractive. Additionally, allegations arose in 2016 from four contestants claiming that Trump intruded into the dressing room of underage participants during the same event.

Although the women did not accuse Trump of making explicit or physical advances, recordings from Trump’s appearances on the Howard Stern Show later revealed him boasting about entering dressing rooms of pageant contestants. On another occasion in 2003, during an interview with Howard Stern, Trump praised Ivanka’s appearance, describing her as a great beauty he helped mold. Subsequently, in a 2004 conversation, Stern asked Trump if he could refer to Ivanka in a derogatory manner, to which Trump responded affirmatively.

During a 2006 interview, Stern commented on Ivanka’s physical appearance, speculating about potential enhancements, which Trump denied, emphasizing her natural beauty and height. On a separate occasion on The View, Trump responded to a hypothetical question about Ivanka posing for Playboy magazine by complimenting her figure and joking that he might date her if she weren’t his daughter.

In a 2015 profile piece for Rolling Stone, Trump praised Ivanka’s beauty and mentioned the challenges of being her father. Further controversy arose in 2016 when reports surfaced of a comment Trump made on the Dr Oz Show about kissing Ivanka, which was reportedly edited out. The most serious allegations emerged from a book by Miles Taylor, a former Department of Homeland Security chief of staff, accusing Trump of lewd discussions about Ivanka’s physical features.

Despite these claims, Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing or inappropriate behavior concerning his daughter Ivanka.
