Fatal Collisions: Woman Killed in Lorry Accident, Private Jet Crash Claims Seven

A tragic incident occurred when a lorry struck and killed a woman in her 60s at a street junction. The unidentified female pedestrian lost her life in the collision with the lorry around 12:30pm on Tuesday at the intersection of Church Road and Bridge Street in Swords, near Dublin. Emergency services responded to the scene promptly. Authorities have closed the road and established local diversions. Gardaí are urging witnesses, especially the driver of a small silver hatchback car that was not involved in the accident but was in the vicinity, to come forward.

Road users with camera footage from the area between 12:10pm and 12:40pm are requested to share it with the investigating Gardaí. The woman’s body has been taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown for a post-mortem examination. The scene is being examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and the investigation is ongoing. In another incident, a private jet crashed at Bangor International Airport during a snowstorm, resulting in seven fatalities and one crew member sustaining serious injuries. The US Federal Aviation Administration reported that the Bombardier Challenger 600, carrying eight individuals, crashed during take-off amidst severe winter weather conditions. The airport, located in Maine and north of Boston, closed down following the crash. Authorities are investigating the incident, with the jet being registered to a corporation linked to a Houston-based law firm.
