A tragic road accident claimed the lives of a father and his baby daughter, while the mother and son are currently in critical condition, fighting for their lives. The family, consisting of four members, had recently relocated from North Wales to Poland and were traveling together when their vehicle collided with a tree near the northeastern Polish city of Olsztyn on Thursday morning.
The deceased father, Krzysztof, aged 30, and his baby daughter Natalka were killed in the crash. Reports indicate that the family had been residing in Connah’s Quay, located in the Flintshire region of Wales, and the fatal accident occurred shortly after their return to Poland.
Anna Buckley from the Polish Integration Support Centre (PISC) in Wrexham confirmed the tragic incident, expressing deep sadness over the loss of Krzysztof and Natalka. The mother, Justyna, aged 29, and their three-year-old son are currently battling for their lives following the devastating collision.
An online fundraiser has been established to assist with the funeral expenses for the deceased young girl, raising over £1,000 through the efforts of a Polish support group. The fundraiser aims to cover the funeral costs for Natalka and potentially provide rehabilitation and psychological support for the surviving family members.
Buckley, in her capacity as the Director of PISC, was involved in assisting the family with their return to Poland from the UK. She highlighted the challenges faced by the mother, Justyna, in obtaining a passport for her two-month-old daughter, Natalka, before their journey back to Poland. Tragically, the family met with a fatal accident upon their return, leading to the untimely deaths of Natalka and Krzysztof.
Buckley emphasized the need for support in covering the funeral expenses for Natalka, acknowledging the heartbreaking nature of the situation and the importance of aiding the family during this difficult time.
