In a candid interview with journalist April Ryan, she revealed the family dynamics, noting that her grandmother typically spent time with the girls while her grandfather and uncles focused on the boys. Despite facing exclusion, she tried to join in with her brother and male relatives.
Recalling her interactions with the future president during frequent weekend visits, she shared that they would often engage in sports like soccer or baseball in the backyard with her Uncle Rob. The niece mentioned that despite the significant age gap between them, Donald Trump would aggressively throw the ball during their play sessions.
Ryan expressed shock at the revelation, comparing the president to a male version of Cruella de Vil. Mary Trump, who has been vocal in criticizing her uncle, recently condemned him for mistakenly stating that his father was born in Germany during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. In reality, Trump’s father was born in the Bronx, New York, not in Germany as he claimed.
Following the incident, Mary took to social media to set the record straight, emphasizing that her grandfather, Fred Trump Sr., was indeed born in New York, not Germany. She pointed out the inaccuracy in her uncle’s statement and questioned his knowledge of his own family history.
