Smith, a pensioner from Hertfordshire, recounted the terrifying ordeal when the shark attacked him as he took a final swim before heading home. Despite the traumatic experience, Smith expressed gratitude for the assistance he received from friends during the aftermath, leading to his prompt medical treatment in Tobago and subsequent care in Miami, USA.
