Despite engaging in talks facilitated by the US to end the ongoing conflict, Russia continues its bombardment of Ukraine. Disputes over territorial control persist, with Russia insisting on full authority over Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region in any potential agreement.
In a retaliatory move, Ukraine has launched devastating attacks on Russian infrastructure and military targets, including within Russia itself. A prominent Russian military figure, Lt. Gen. Vladimir Alekseyev, is recuperating in a hospital after surviving an assassination attempt in Moscow.
Following a series of targeted killings of high-ranking Russian military officials linked to atrocities in Ukraine, a suspect named Lyubomir Korba was apprehended in Dubai for the attempted assassination. The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has disclosed the detention of Korba and two other alleged accomplices, one of whom fled to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Ukraine is set to establish ten weapons export centers across Europe by late 2026 and commence the production of Ukrainian-made drones in Germany this month.
