In a disturbing incident, a group of individuals posing as police officers entered a football field and carried out a fatal attack on a man. The casual football match turned chaotic as five masked men, dressed in police attire, unexpectedly intruded onto the artificial pitch, causing the players to drop to the ground in realization that the intruders were not genuine officers. Shocking footage captured the assailants approaching their target, kicking the man while he was down in the middle of the field.
In a horrifying public act, one of the gunmen placed his foot on the player’s head before fatally shooting him. The other players watched in terror as the events unfolded in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Following the cold-blooded murder, the assailants swiftly departed, leaving the seven remaining players to flee the scene, abandoning their deceased comrade.
The entire attack lasted a mere five minutes, during which the police discovered two additional bodies nearby while investigating the crime scene. According to El Universo, the gunmen assaulted security guards, seized their weapons after incapacitating them, and then proceeded to execute the brutal attack on the football field.
The victim was identified as Stalin Rolando Olivero Vargas, purportedly the leader of a criminal gang operating in the area. The other deceased individuals, Jefferson Sanlon Olivero and Richard Josué Mina Vergara, were also known for past criminal activities, including murder, drug-related offenses, and robbery, as disclosed by Interior Minister Juan Reimburg.
Reimburg mentioned that Vargas had allegedly contemplated leaving the Los Lagartos gang he headed to join a rival criminal faction. No arrests have been made in connection with the killings, and the motive behind the gruesome act remains undisclosed. Law enforcement authorities had been monitoring the gang leader before his tragic demise.
This incident follows the discovery of five human heads hanging over a tourist beach in Ecuador, a gruesome sight believed to be a warning signal amidst escalating drug-related violence in the country.
