“Adolescents Charged in Bondi Beach Stabbing”

Two adolescents are facing charges for an alleged stabbing incident in Sydney. Responding to reports of a stabbing at an intersection in Bondi Beach, emergency services arrived at the scene around 9:15 pm on Friday, February 27. They discovered a 54-year-old man with stab wounds to his upper body, as confirmed by New South Wales (NSW) Police.

The man received initial treatment from the police before being transferred to St Vincent’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition. According to the authorities, the altercation began when the man engaged in a dispute with a boy on an e-bike, leading to a physical altercation.

Subsequently, the boy reportedly left the scene and returned with another individual armed with a knife. Allegedly, the pair assaulted the man again before departing. Initial reports suggested that the man was attacked with a machete.

At approximately 9:40 pm, two teenagers, aged 15 and 17, were apprehended in the vicinity and taken into custody. The 15-year-old was charged with various offenses, including causing grievous bodily harm, assault, possession of a prohibited weapon, common assault, and other related charges. Similarly, the 17-year-old was charged with similar offenses in connection with the incident.

Both teenagers were denied bail and are scheduled to appear before the Parramatta Bail Division Court on Saturday, February 28.
