Sarah Ferguson extended her well wishes to Jeffrey Epstein upon hearing about the birth of a “baby boy” after his release from prison for child sex offenses, as per newly uncovered messages. The former Duchess of York, despite Epstein’s convictions in 2008, expressed her “love, friendship, and congratulations” to the disgraced individual in September 2011. These messages suggest that Fergie learned about the news from her former husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
It appears that Ferguson used the birth of the child as a pretext to reconnect with Epstein, even though he had been convicted. If the information in the email is accurate, the child mentioned could now be 14 years old.
In the message, Fergie mentioned, “Don’t know if you’re still on this on this bbm [BlackBerry Messenger] but have heard from the Duke that you have had a baby boy.” The message seemed to imply a subtle dig at Epstein for cutting off contact with Fergie, who had previously claimed to have distanced herself from him.
Expressing her sentiments, she stated, “Even though you never kept in touch, I am still here with love, friendship, and congratulations on your baby boy,” signing off with a kiss.
While Epstein had multiple partners, he was not known to have any children. His last known partner was Karyna Shuliak, who inherited a significant portion of his substantial wealth following his demise in 2019.
These revelations emerged from the recent release of millions of documents, photos, and videos known as the Epstein Files. Despite benefiting financially from Epstein years before his sentencing, Ferguson seemed to have maintained communication with him post-conviction.
The former Duchess of York has faced criticism following the emergence of new details about her correspondences with Epstein. Images of an email exchange between an individual believed to be Fergie and Epstein have been disclosed as part of over three million documents released by the US Department of Justice, shedding light on the disgraced financier.
The emails involve discussions with an individual simply referred to as “Sarah,” with email addresses redacted. Additionally, there are conversations about “Fergie” with others. In one email from March 2010, Epstein seemed to inquire about a potential trip to New York, asking, “ny?”
Fergie responded, “Not sure yet. Just waiting for Eugenie to come back from a sh*****g weekend.” This email coincided with Eugenie’s 20th birthday, spent with her then-boyfriend, now husband, Jack Brooksbank. Other recently released emails showcased Fergie’s admiration for Epstein after he praised her in front of Eugenie and her elder daughter, Princess Beatrice.
In a separate email, Sarah humorously suggested to Epstein, “just marry me.”
In 2001, Epstein transferred $150,000 (£109,000) to Ferguson following a stock sale. The late individual wired the money to the former Duchess of York, as indicated in account transactions. The records also revealed that Epstein made $550,000 (£401,653) in sweep account sales, and this transaction was one of several cash transfers he made to Fergie.
Meanwhile, Peter Mandelson has faced accusations of “embarrassing” the Prime Minister, the Labour Party, and himself due to his associations with Jeffrey Epstein. Lord Mandelson eventually resigned from the Labour Party late on Sunday to prevent further embarrassment after half-dressed images of him surfaced in the Epstein files.
