“Trump Slams NATO Allies Spain and UK over Iran Strikes”

Date:

Donald Trump criticized a NATO partner for rejecting the use of its military bases for potential strikes on Iran. Trump lashed out at Spain, labeling the country as a “loser” and accusing it of being unsupportive of NATO. He highlighted Spain’s refusal to contribute 5% of its GDP to defense spending, contrasting it with other enthusiastic NATO members like Germany. Trump emphasized that Spain’s actions were unfriendly and indicated that the US would sever trade relations with the country. Additionally, he expressed disappointment with the UK’s Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, for not providing support for US military operations against Iran. Starmer’s decision to limit US access to UK bases for defensive strikes on Iranian missile capabilities was met with disapproval from Trump. Despite the disagreements, Starmer defended his choices, stating that they were in the best interests of Britain.
