Pope Warns of Regional Instability Amid US-Israel-Iran Conflict

Date:

The Pope has expressed concerns about the potential for widespread instability in the region due to the ongoing conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran.

During the Angelus prayer in St. Peter’s Square, Pope Leo XIV emphasized the need for peace and dialogue as violence and fear continue to escalate in the Middle East.

The Vatican’s top diplomat recently criticized the US and Israeli strikes for violating international law and condemned the concept of “preventive wars.”

Reports indicate that the US-Israeli attacks in Iran have resulted in the deaths of at least 1,332 individuals, while Lebanon has reported 394 casualties, including many women and children, from Israeli airstrikes.

In Israel, 10 people have been killed, and six US soldiers lost their lives in an Iranian drone strike in Kuwait. Additionally, Kuwait and other countries in the region have also experienced casualties due to the ongoing conflict.

The situation remains tense, with various countries in the Middle East facing the repercussions of the escalating violence.
