A tragic incident occurred where a one-year-old baby, Dante Valentín Bermudes Rumi, passed away due to a suspected choking accident involving a fake nail. The unfortunate event took place on Saturday, March 21 while Dante was at home with his mother, Aylin Saucedo. Aylin sought help from a neighbor when she noticed Dante was having difficulty breathing. Despite immediate efforts, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at Dr. Federico Abete Hospital.
An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was asphyxiation due to his airway being obstructed by ‘two objects’ lodged in his throat. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragedy.
Aylin Saucedo, a manicurist, recounted the heartbreaking ordeal to Argentinian media in Los Polvorines, Greater Buenos Aires. She described the frantic moments when she realized her son was in distress and the futile attempts to save him before rushing him to the hospital. Following the incident, there was a disturbing encounter where the baby’s father allegedly assaulted Aylin, her new partner, and her father at the hospital. Aylin also shared that her ex-partner deliberately obstructed her from attending Dante’s wake and funeral by withholding crucial information.
In the wake of her son’s untimely demise, Aylen expressed her profound grief on social media, reminiscing about the moments shared with her son and the pain of facing life without him. Her friend, Angeles Belen, extended support, emphasizing that Dante would forever remain in Aylen’s heart as her cherished prince.
