“Armed Man Shot Dead at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Estate”

Date:

The US Secret Service issued a statement following the fatal shooting of an armed man attempting to breach Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate. Law enforcement officers confronted a white male in his 20s, who was carrying a fuel can and a shotgun during the early hours of Saturday. Despite being instructed to drop the items, he raised his shotgun, prompting two Secret Service agents to open fire, resulting in his death at the scene.

According to Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi, the suspect, a resident of North Carolina, had been reported missing by his family a few days earlier. The man drove through the north gate of Mar-a-Lago as another vehicle was leaving, and the shotgun box was later found in his vehicle.

Although the man has not been formally identified yet, it is known that Trump was not present at the estate during the incident, as he was at the White House. The Secret Service confirmed that the individual, whose identity is being withheld pending family notification, was shot after breaching the secure perimeter of Mar-a-Lago while carrying a shotgun and a fuel can.

The ongoing investigation into the incident, including the individual’s background, motives, and the use of force, is being conducted by the FBI, the Secret Service, and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. The involved Secret Service agents will be placed on administrative leave as per agency policy until the investigation is concluded.
