Renowned physicist Professor Stephen Hawking is depicted in a recently unearthed photo lounging with two women in bikinis, part of the Epstein files released by the US Department of Justice. The image, lacking specific details on its timing or setting, is among numerous pictures believed to be taken on Jeffrey Epstein’s Little Saint James Island in the US Virgin Islands.
Hawking had previously visited Epstein’s private island in 2006 as one of 21 distinguished scientists attending a physics conference centered on gravity. Notably, Epstein was not facing any sexual charges during this period. Images from a prior visit show Hawking at a barbecue and later enjoying a submarine excursion around the island, specially arranged due to his physical condition.
Responding to the situation, a spokesperson for the Hawking Family emphasized the professor’s significant contributions to physics and his battle with motor neurone disease, firmly denying any allegations of misconduct. While Hawking’s name appears multiple times in the Epstein Files, it does not imply any involvement in illicit activities, as he has never been accused of any crimes.
One email from Epstein to Ghislaine Maxwell mentions offering a reward to disprove claims of Hawking’s involvement in inappropriate activities. Notably, Virginia Giuffre, who made accusations against Prince Andrew and has since passed away, never directly accused Hawking of any misconduct, with the allegations only surfacing in Epstein’s emails.
Diagnosed with a rare form of ALS at a young age, Hawking defied the odds by living with the condition for over five decades, using advanced technology to communicate his groundbreaking ideas in astrophysics and gravity. While Hawking interacted with Epstein, he was not the only scientist associated with the disgraced financier, as other academics like Marvin Minsky, Eric Lander, and Lisa Randall also crossed paths with Epstein without facing any accusations of wrongdoing.
