“Sunshine Returns: UK Set for Warm Temperatures Up to 16C”

Date:

After a chilly and damp beginning to 2026, the weather is improving for many people in the UK, with the return of sunny days being welcomed. Weather forecasts indicate that warm temperatures are on the way, with parts of the UK expected to experience 16C weather, which is even hotter than Ibiza. The latest weather maps from WXCharts show that temperatures in and around London are projected to reach 16C by next Wednesday.

Meanwhile, for individuals seeking winter sun in Ibiza, temperatures are forecasted to be around 15C. After a cold start on March 4, temperatures are expected to rise significantly, especially in the south, south-east, and East of England, where temperatures are anticipated to reach double digits by the evening.

Early in the morning, temperatures are forecasted to vary between 0C in Scotland and 8C in Bristol. As the day progresses, temperatures are set to rise, with peak temperatures expected to be 15C in London, 13C in Norwich, 11C in Birmingham, and 10C in Glasgow by midday.

The evening is expected to be warm for Brits, particularly in the southeast of the country, where temperatures could hit 16C around London, 14C in Birmingham, 13C in Swansea, and 14C in Plymouth. The warm weather is not limited to Wednesday alone.

Thursday’s weather maps show a similar trend, with temperatures climbing to 15C and even 16C in some regions by midday. In the evening, parts of the East of England, including Peterborough, Cambridge, and Norwich, are likely to experience temperatures reaching a delightful 17C.

The pleasant weather is expected to persist in the following days, as WXCharts maps indicate a high of 18C in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire by 6 pm on Saturday, March 7. Across England and parts of Wales, temperatures are expected to range from 14C to 17C.

If the forecasts from the maps hold true, residents in England can anticipate highs of 15-17C the next day by 6 pm. This follows the UK’s hottest day of the year recorded yesterday.

Temperatures at Kew Gardens in southwest London reached 18.7C, as reported by the Met Office. This marks the highest temperature recorded in the UK in February since February 27, 2019, when Heathrow recorded a high of 19.2C.

Before that, on February 26 of the same year, Kew Gardens registered a temperature of 21.2C, the highest temperature ever recorded in February in the UK.
