The mother, identified as Stacey, shared that her teenage daughter was targeted by a group of girls and boys while heading to a bus stop. Seeking refuge in the Zara store, the girl was reportedly surrounded by the group and the situation escalated when she exited the shop.
Avon and Somerset Police have made multiple arrests in connection with the incident. The girl was reportedly attacked by a group of youths aged between 12 and 18. Authorities are investigating a potential link to the recent social media trend known as “school wars Red vs Blue.”
Following the public altercation, the girl was promptly taken to the hospital. Disturbing videos of the attack have circulated on social media platforms. Stacey expressed her distress, stating that her daughter was followed by a group of children to the bus stop and subsequently attacked. She criticized the Zara staff for their alleged inaction during the incident, indicating that no one assisted her daughter.
According to Stacey, the girl was assaulted by the group but did not retaliate. She emphasized that her daughter was unaware of the situation unfolding around her. Fortunately, the teenager sustained minor injuries, including bruising and concussion, but no severe harm.
Neighborhood Chief Inspector Keith Smith highlighted the severity of the assault, mentioning the ongoing investigation into potential connections with the “school wars” online trend. Stacey expressed disappointment in the response to the incident, citing failures at various levels throughout the evening.
