Halifax, Lloyds, and Bank of Scotland customers encountered a situation where they could view the transactions of other individuals on their respective banking apps earlier today.
Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis revealed that users of Lloyds Banking Group, which includes the mentioned brands, reached out to him regarding this issue. Downdetector, a website tracking outages, received numerous complaints from Halifax and Lloyds customers between 7am and 9am, although the exact number of affected users remains unknown.
Halifax attributed the issue to a “technical glitch” in response to a customer, while Lloyds acknowledged the problem and stated that it was quickly resolved. Concerned customers, like Carl Lewis, expressed worry about the privacy of their information after observing unauthorized transactions on the app.
