“Teenage Girl’s Body Found in River After Car Accident”

The discovery of a teenage girl’s body was made during a search operation by police divers in a river following a car accident involving teenagers.

Cambridgeshire Police reported that a vehicle carrying five individuals aged 16 to 18, comprising two males and three females, went into a river the previous night. While three occupants managed to escape from the car, authorities were still searching for a boy and a girl.

Cambridgeshire Police has now confirmed that the body of a teenage girl has been recovered, as efforts to locate the other missing teenager from the incident on Tuesday continue.

According to Cambridgeshire Live, emergency services found the body of a girl, one of the missing teenagers, after a crash near Wisbeach on the River Nene.

The incident occurred on North Brink in Wisbech St Mary’s around 8:20 pm on March 17, with divers recovering the body this afternoon. Search operations are ongoing for the missing male. The three survivors, two females, and one male, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.

North Brink is expected to remain closed for the rest of the day, with Cambridgeshire Police urging witnesses and those with dashcam footage to come forward.
