Princess Beatrice and her spouse, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are reportedly contemplating a move that would prevent Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor from visiting them. Beatrice, aged 37, is said to be experiencing significant personal stress due to the scrutiny surrounding her parents’ connections to Jeffrey Epstein. Consequently, both Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie, will not be part of the Easter gathering with King Charles and other royal family members, despite their presence during the previous Christmas festivities.
Recent reports suggest that Beatrice and Edoardo are planning to leave their current residence in the Cotswolds for a new chapter in the United States. This decision is seen as a means to distance themselves further from Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. Notably, Andrew has consistently denied any misconduct allegations.
Royal journalist Tom Sykes mentioned that a potential move to the US would make it challenging for their parents to visit, considering Congress’s interest in their testimony. Edoardo, who is a property developer, also owns a property in New York City and frequently conducts business there. The relocation is viewed as a strategic step to escape ongoing public scrutiny and rejuvenate their relationship.
Although Beatrice and Edoardo only acquired their Cotswolds farmhouse in 2021 and appeared settled with their two children, Sienna and Athena, they had previously lived in an apartment at St James Palace in central London. The siblings were part of the recent release of Epstein files by the US State Department, which also implicated their parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. Despite this, there are no allegations of misconduct against Beatrice or Eugenie.
Apart from the UK, Edoardo’s family possesses the historic Villa Mapelli Mozzi estate in Italy, dating back to the 13th century. The property is situated in Ponte San Pietro, near Lake Como, Italy, showcasing the family’s long-standing heritage.
New revelations surfaced regarding Sarah Ferguson’s association with Jeffrey Epstein in documents disclosed by the US Department of Justice earlier this year. The former Duchess of York was found praising Epstein in 2009 as a supportive figure and had sought financial assistance from him on multiple occasions.
