Teen stabbed at McDonald’s in Tamworth; 15-year-old arrested

A teenager was stabbed at a McDonald’s branch located on Bitterscote Drive in Tamworth, resulting in the arrest of a 15-year-old boy. The incident occurred on Monday evening, prompting a response from police and ambulance services around 8.30pm. Emergency personnel, including an ambulance, paramedic officer, and a trauma doctor, attended the scene to assist the victim, a teenage male with potentially serious injuries, who was subsequently transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

According to the West Midlands Ambulance Service, the stabbing took place inside the restaurant, leading to the arrest of a 15-year-old boy from Birmingham on suspicion of affray. Staffordshire Police confirmed the details of the incident, stating that the teenager was taken to the hospital with a stab wound to his lower back, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening or life-changing. The arrested individual remains in custody while investigations are ongoing.
