New weather models indicate that temperatures exceeding 20C will be experienced in 27 counties across the UK in the upcoming week.
According to the Met Office, temperatures could climb to 24C in certain UK regions on Wednesday following the adverse weather conditions brought about by Storm Dave over the weekend, which included snow, rain, and strong winds.
Storm Dave led to road closures and rail disruptions early on Easter Sunday, with a risk of power outages, but all weather alerts have now been lifted.
The UKV weather model predicts temperatures to reach and surpass 20C on Wednesday over a large area of England, with the warmest conditions anticipated in the south, south-east, east, and the Midlands.
Meteorologist Greg Dewhurst from the Met Office stated that warmer air from the continent will move over England and Wales on Tuesday and Wednesday, leading to temperatures in the low 20s, potentially reaching 23C or 24C on Wednesday, with the sunniest conditions likely in south-east England.
The morning forecast from the Met Office indicated highs of 18C in the north and 23C in the south for Tuesday, with northern regions reaching 19C and southern areas possibly hitting 24C on Wednesday.
