“British Travel Firm Declares Insolvency, Voiding Reservations”

Date:

All reservations with a well-known British travel firm have been voided following its declaration of insolvency.

Operating out of Hertfordshire, Regen Central Ltd specialized in selling vacation packages to various destinations in Europe and Southeast Asia. On January 13, the company went into liquidation after its Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing (ATOL) was revoked.

The ATOL scheme, managed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), ensures financial protection for customers who have booked package holidays or flights through registered travel agencies, offering reimbursement or repatriation in case of a company’s collapse.

However, certain types of bookings are not covered by ATOL protection, such as accommodation-only and non-flight packages, leaving impacted travelers without the same level of security.

The CAA stated: “No ATOL-protected bookings remain outstanding with the company. Bookings that were sold as accommodation only, non-flight packages, and flight-only bookings with issued tickets are not eligible for ATOL protection. Since there are no outstanding ATOL-protected bookings, no refunds will be provided.

“If you believe you are entitled to a refund for an ATOL-protected booking under Regen Central Ltd’s ATOL, please reach out to us via email at claims@caa.co.uk.”

Established in 2011, Regen Central Ltd offered travel packages to various destinations including Italy, Bali, Thailand, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and other Middle Eastern locations. It previously operated under the names One Haji and Umrah, Regen Travels, and Oneworld Travels.

In a similar vein, holiday packages arranged through Simply Florida Travel Ltd were also called off following the company’s closure earlier this year.

This Glasgow-based agency provided holiday packages to various destinations such as Disneyland, Disney World, Universal Studios, New York City, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Miami, and cruise packages.

According to Companies House records, the independent operator applied for removal from the register on October 13, 2025. The company was formally dissolved on January 6 and ceased operating as an ATOL-protected provider on January 20.

Several other British travel companies have faced insolvency in recent times, including Gold Crest Holidays, Great Little Escapes, Jetline Travel, and Asiara UK Ltd.
