“Beloved Baby Girl Remembered after Tragic Incident”

Date:

A family is remembering a beloved baby girl who tragically passed away after a suspected dog incident. Maggie-May Ann Moody, who was only 13 weeks old, died at a residence in Hardale Grove, Dormanstown, on April 9.

In a heartfelt tribute published in The Gazette, Maggie-May’s family described her as a radiant presence who brightened their lives despite her short time with them. They highlighted her loving nature, strong personality, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.

The family expressed deep love for Maggie-May, emphasizing her importance as the heart of their family. They mourned the loss of the irreplaceable space she left behind and vowed to keep her memory alive through cherished moments and everlasting love.

Maggie-May’s funeral is scheduled for Friday, May 1, at St Peter’s Church in Redcar, followed by a private burial. The family requested attendees to wear bright colors, specifically pink, and advised against sending dark flowers. Instead, they asked for donations to the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) Baby Unit in lieu of floral tributes.

An inquest into Maggie-May’s passing revealed that she tragically lost her life at just shy of three months old at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. Following the incident, a 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dog-related charges, while additional arrests of a 31-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man have since taken place. None of the individuals arrested have ties to Maggie-May’s family.
