A man is in critical condition after a violent axe assault occurred in Acton Park earlier this month.
Adam Abdillahi, aged 45 and residing on Australia Road in Hammersmith and Fulham, was apprehended on April 9 under suspicion of attempted murder. Following his arrest, he was formally charged on April 10 and subsequently appeared in Ealing Magistrates’ Court on the same day, where he was remanded into custody.
Another individual, a 44-year-old man, was also taken into custody on April 4 on suspicion of attempted murder but was later released on bail.
According to a spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police, law enforcement responded to reports of a disturbance in Ealing’s park area at 5:29 pm on April 2. Upon arrival, officers administered immediate medical aid to a 31-year-old male discovered with a stab wound on a footpath. The victim was attended to by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance before being transported to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Detective Inspector John Gillespie, leading the investigation, expressed concern for the victim and his family as he continues to receive medical care. The incident occurred near a bustling main road, tennis courts, and a miniature golf course within the park’s vicinity. Authorities are urging anyone with information or potential footage of the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.
