“Sister-in-Law’s Wedding Dress Paint Attack Shocks Bride”

Date:

A bride faced a shocking moment when her sister-in-law splattered black paint on her wedding dress as an act of revenge. Gemma Monk’s wedding day turned chaotic as she prepared to marry her childhood sweetheart, Ken Monk. Despite the gown being ruined, she continued the ceremony after changing into a different outfit.

The sister-in-law, Antonia Eastwood, was given a 10-month suspended jail term for the vengeful attack that took place in May 2024. Eastwood confessed that she acted impulsively due to a past incident at her own wedding the previous year. The family feud escalated when Gemma’s brother Ashley claimed Gemma obstructed Toni at their wedding in 2023, leading to tensions and their exclusion from Gemma’s wedding.

Despite the circumstances, Eastwood expressed regret, stating it was out of character for her and causing her significant anxiety. She mentioned that the black paint was coincidentally in her car as she had been using it for her grandchild’s handprints. Eastwood, now residing in Manchester, was sentenced for criminal damage, with repairs and revenue loss estimated at £5,000 at the venue.

Reflecting on the incident, Gemma described the emotional turmoil caused by the paint attack, affecting her self-esteem and daily life. The once joyous occasion turned into a traumatizing memory for her and her family.
