Police arrested a woman following a tragic house fire in Wolverhampton that claimed the lives of two young boys, aged one and three. The woman, in her 30s, is currently in custody as investigations into the fire, which occurred on Mason Street around 8:30 pm on Friday, are ongoing. Despite efforts by ambulance medics who provided advanced life support, the two children could not be saved and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing or allowing the death of the two children.
DCI Westlake urged the public not to engage in speculation but to provide any relevant information to assist the investigation.
