Tragic Fall at Birmingham Bar Claims Man’s Life

A man in his forties tragically passed away after a fall at a Birmingham bar during the recent Bank Holiday weekend. The incident took place at Henman & Cooper, a rooftop bar in the city center, around 6:20 pm on Sunday. Authorities responded to the scene on Colmore Row, with a significant presence of police cars and ambulances near the Council House area.

According to West Midlands Police, the man fell from multiple floors within the building. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The police have confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A police spokesperson stated, “We received a call regarding a man falling from a building in Birmingham city center on Colmore Row yesterday evening. The man, aged in his forties, was taken to the hospital but unfortunately did not survive. Our condolences go out to his family. The incident is not considered suspicious, and a report will be submitted to the coroner.”

An eyewitness, present at a nearby bar, expressed surprise at the swift arrival of emergency services following the incident. Henman & Cooper announced on social media that they would be closed for the remainder of Sunday due to unforeseen circumstances.

The venue’s statement read, “Dear guests, Henman & Cooper will be closed this evening [Sunday, May 3] due to unforeseen events. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We eagerly anticipate your return. Thank you, Team H&C.”
